About the problem

This article from SCMP explains how public HK schools teach heteronormative and uninformative sex ed, as the government is allowing schools to teach the subject however they choose.

Dr. V. Chandra-Mouli had shared interesting statistics about sex ed within this ted talk.

He provided statistics comparing England and Netherlands, drawing the conclusion that quality sex ed lowers unwanted pregnancy rates by 3-4 times.

He also stated that sex education does not lead to increased sexual desires.

Many kids are left without a good understanding of sexuality, gender, amongst many other things. Sex Ed is inconsistent across HK, and thus, I try to pique the curiosity of students for them to do additional research.
